Annija Dziesma Teteris
Soprano
Annija Dziesma Teteris is a Soprano Currently in her Senior Year at Manhattan school of Music. She is currently studying with Catherine Malfitano, and has worked with people such as Pauls Berkolds, Veronica Bell, Dana Rouse, Jevģenija Trukša, Juris Žvikovs, Dace Aperane, and Andrejs Jansons. She has participated in many things such as the Latvia 100 production of Wonderbird in which she played the Queen and the Barmaid. She has also participated in a project with the New West symphony in Holocaust Memoriam the Children's Opera "Brundibar" where she played Pepiček. In addition she has also in more recent years has been invited to sing solos in the Latvian Song Festival which took place in St.Paul, Minnesota and sing in the Chamber Music Concert. On November 18th, Latvina Independence day, she performed a recital dissertation with an emphasis on Latvian classical music at Lincoln Center people in attendance were UN defense representative Andrejs Pildragovič, Jazz composer and Musician Artā Jēkabsone, Opera Diva Catherine Malfitano, Classical Contemporary Composer Dace Aperane, and many many more. Having also played Pallade and Venere in Manhattan school of Music's production of "L'incoronazione di Poppea".
